Environmental claims are facing growing attention from both regulators and consumers. A new European directive, “Empowering Consumers for the Green Transition,” will come into force in 2026 and will significantly increase the risk of penalties in case of non-compliance. Greenwashing is therefore moving from an ethical issue to a legal one. That is why we created the Greenwashing Fresko: to help organizations understand and avoid greenwashing.
